The dependable right-hand batsman from Odisha, Biplab Samantray is going to be the 3rd Odia player to play in money-spinning Indian Premier League, after Haldhar Das and Pargyan Ojha. He is going to turn up for Deccan Charges from Hyderabad for this Twenty20 Chapionship of IPL 5.
Ashirbad Behera, OCA Secretary said that Biplab Samntray has signed with Deccan Chargers with 30 Lakh Rupees for IPL Season 5.
IPL is about to hit the grounds on 4th April and Samantray is likely to make his debut when Hyderabadi Deccan Chargers play against Chennai Super Kings at Y.S.Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium, Visakhapatnam, on 7th April.
Deccan Chargers is going to participate in 16 matches out of total 74 matches that are scheduled to be held in 54 days.
Biplab Mishra, the 23 year old young cricker, was in outstanding form in the latest held Duleep Trophy and Ranji Trophy tournaments and gained IPL contracts after the impressive domestic season.
This Odian player made his maiden first class century in Ranji Trophy, 2011-2012 season, with an innings of 171 runs against Utter Pratesh which brought him to limelight.
So far Biplab has played 8 Twenty20 matches for Odisha, with his highest score of 73.
Deccan Chargers have also signed 21-year-old Hyderabad opening batsman Akshath Reddy, Madhya Pradesh medium-pacer TP Sudhindra, Uttar Pradesh batsman Tanmay Srivastava and the Mumbai born Tanmay Mishra who played for Kenya.
